Cindy Welch is an assistant professor in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She earned her Ph.D. in Library & Information Science at the University of Illinois, and also holds an M.S.L.S. from the University of Kentucky and an M.A. in Adult & Higher Education from Morehead State University. Her research interests include children's and teens' services in public libraries, YA literature, the history of public libraries, and communications technology adoption/use by children's and YA librarians in public libraries.
