is a teacher librarian at Garden City High School in New York and also “moonlights” as a children’s services librarian at the public library in her hometown of Freeport, New York. In 2010 she was recognized by GALE/Cengage and School Library Journal as a dynamic “New Leader” and in 2013 she was awarded the Library Journal Movers and Shakers award for her advocacy efforts. Her first book, Make A Big Impact @ Your School Board Meeting
, a guide for all librarians looking to advocate for their library programs, was published in May of 2012.
