I work as the outreach librarian at Millersville University in Pennsylvania, where my primary responsibilities include marketing and promoting library initiatives. My experience as a 2009 ALA Emerging Leader sparked my involvement with professional library associations at both the state and national levels. Since then I have participated on a variety of committees and served in leadership roles. I am most passionate about initiating change and mentoring new information professionals. And of course, writing.
I hold an MS in Library and Information Studies and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Digital Libraries from the Syracuse University iSchool (2008) and a dual-BA in Communication/Journalism & English from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY (2006). I am also one thesis-portfolio away from earning my MA in English-Creative Writing from West Chester University of Pennsylvania (anticipated 2012).
