About Adam Beauchamp
Adam is the Head of Research & Instruction at the J. Edgar and Louise S. Monroe Library at Loyola University New Orleans. He completed an MA in history at Tulane University, an MLIS at Louisiana State University, and is a PhD Candidate in history at Florida State University. Adam applies historical analysis and understanding to his library practice, especially when teaching primary source literacy and engaging in critical pedagogy. His research explores the historical context of contemporary library practice, especially the assembly of archives as a key component in creating and sustaining public memory in the U.S. South.
