About Samantha Guss

Samantha Guss (she/her) is a Research and Education Librarian at the Health Sciences Library at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she is the liaison to the School of Population Health. She recently made the switch to health sciences libraries after a dozen years in “regular” academic libraries in social sciences and data services roles. She holds master’s degrees in library science from UNC-Chapel Hill and business and workplace education from NYU, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Penn State. Her current research interests include library services design, information literacy, and workforce issues in Library & Information Science, especially as they relate to equity and social justice.
